- By michelled [gb] Date 13.01.05 14:53 UTC
i think if you can do a tiny bit its better than nothing! howver beware cos exercise always makes me hungrey!!!
- By scarymary [gb] Date 13.01.05 15:22 UTC
right then ill have one more cup of coffee then ill try and do some!!
- By Spook [gb] Date 13.01.05 18:33 UTC
3lbs.......I've gained :(
BUT I'm off work for two weeks. I have a fully fitted gym that I've never used. I'm going to lock myself in there and only come out to do an exercise video, well this is my plan. Walking the hell out of the dogs is not working, so I'm going to start on the old cardio. I'm also going to stop my contraception to see if that helps. I'm married so no danger of falling pregnant :D
I think I'll go for Angela Griffins dance video. I can't stomach those glamour girls on Sky sports doing morning aerobics in their skimpies, oooh I could wedgie the lot of them....
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 13.01.05 18:46 UTC

>oooh I could wedgie the lot of them....

ROTFLMAO! I know exactly what you mean! :D
- By Spook [gb] Date 13.01.05 19:21 UTC
I used to work in a bar many moons ago and the fellas would sit watching it drooling into their pints. I offered to give them a live version UK style but I guess the thought of me puffing panting flapping about in my comfy knickers, belly hanging nicely over the top, revealing tantalising stretchmarks, porridge like thighs and buttocks just didn't do it for them.......go figure?  :D
- By Brainless [gb] Date 13.01.05 19:44 UTC
Oh snap, you are exactly where I am at.  There is also less incentive when there is less weight to shift. :D

I have been a bit funny this month and had terrible Carb cravings (could eat a whole loaf of bread, and actually ate a whole pack of croisants the other day).  Loosing 5 1/2 stone was easy clawing back this half stone or so is going to be sooo hard!!!
- By Spook [gb] Date 13.01.05 19:54 UTC
I had a Big Mac on tuesday swearing it would be the last after sitting next to stick thin (too thin) colleague nibbling away on her mackeral and salad and waxing lyrical about oat cakes
I had another Big Mac today, again swearing it's the last one.
Isn't there a boot camp I can book into?
- By Brainless [gb] Date 13.01.05 19:59 UTC
Naan Breads have been my undoing today, though they are the lowest fat ones from Lidle and Iceland, amazing how much they vary.
- By Spook [gb] Date 13.01.05 20:05 UTC
Oooh ssh, I love Naan bread and the child is in bed, the OH is abroad and the dogs are outside.....the cupboards are calling....
Thankfully no chocolate in stock.
- By Brainless [gb] Date 13.01.05 20:11 UTC
The Iceland and Lidl ones aren't bad at 4.5 points, but they come two to a pack!!!  Also they are buy two for £1.50 in Iceland, you know what that means :D

This maintenance of weight is soo much harder than conmcentrating on loosing.  Though of course I now need to loose some  again :(
- By scarymary [gb] Date 14.01.05 12:30 UTC
i did 10 mins on my fitness machine yesterday when i got off my legs were like jelly and i could hardly breath im so unfit i need to do something about it,how much excersice does everyone do ???
- By michelled [gb] Date 14.01.05 13:04 UTC
do as much as you can cope with dylans. its dead boring at home though.which is why i ended up down the gym....then i got addicted to going to the gym! wasnt seeing the dogs,so had to stop going. i was getting too muscley too, didnt like it...but couldnt stop.
then i got flynn.....8 week old collie pups are a good addiction breaker!!!

i walked up some hills today.tryed to walk fast & when i had to have a breather kept marching on the spot.
dont seem to be shifting any weight though, had a salad last night  :(
- By michelled [gb] Date 14.01.05 13:00 UTC
you are right there,i could always lose quite abit easily ,but the odd half stone here or there was a nightmare
- By michelled [gb] Date 14.01.05 12:58 UTC
garlic nans,dripping with garlic,all over your fingers....bliss

- By scarymary [gb] Date 14.01.05 13:18 UTC
oh i wish i was muscley i have fat dripping everywhere its hard to believe im in a size 10 my hubby says i carnt be fat if im in a 1o but i am, i think my frame is so small that really i should be in a size 6-8 i really need to tone up like you say michelled its boring i get fed up ive done 10 mins this morning ill try and do 10 later, does it still do the same if you split the time??
- By michelled [gb] Date 14.01.05 13:45 UTC
dunno! i suppose 10mins hard effort twice a day must be better than 20mins low effort?

cos im tall though & big boned i just didnt look every feminine muscley.
only really noticed it in photos....was really shocked :O
- By scarymary [gb] Date 14.01.05 15:59 UTC

ive lost 2 1/2 pounds since last week, but im just about to get my period so may be retaining abit of water,

- By ClaireyS Date 18.01.05 10:48 UTC

- By Spook [gb] Date 18.01.05 11:15 UTC
Its called 'Hip Hop 2' exercise/dance workout. It's not hard and I prefer to dance than exercise as such. Taebo is an excellent one to do for weightloss but is very tiring initially, it kills you the first time but day by day it gets better and it really does work.
- By ClaireyS Date 18.01.05 11:29 UTC
Ive got some of Billy Blanks Tae bo DVD's, I like the abs and glutes one best its a harsh work out but at least you know you have done something ;)  Ive also just bought the mininstry of sound dance workout dvd, I havent done it yet but sat in bed the other morning and watched it and it looks quite good :p
- By scarymary [gb] Date 18.01.05 11:58 UTC
i fancied getting that corination street one with sarah candice and katy or that beverly callard one ive got her first one and its quite good

Do not know if anyone is interested, but I ahve struggled with my weight, since having three children. been there tried them all, weight watchers worked wonders lost four stone, but ober six years it all came back and more. Atkins worked great got bored etc etc. Anyway last week I bought Paul McKenna's book "I can make you thin" What a statement I thought, anyway there isn't one piece of nuetrianal advice in the book. Four basic rules to follow, and a cd to listen to. It is the best thing I have ever bought. My appitite has halved I feel great and know I have lost a fair amount from my clothes, not weighing myself yet. I'll keep you updated but Hey £5.50 in Asda its got to be worth it. Try it. Basically its message is stop dieting, eat when you are hungrey, stop when you feel full, chew, slow down, and saviour every mouth full, and listen to the cd.
- By ClaireyS Date 21.01.05 14:40 UTC
hmmm, my uncle is a hypnotist he tried to help me stop smoking I stopped about three months after the hypnotherapy so I dont think it worked although he reckons it did :)  for £5.50 though it might be worth a try :)
- By doodledo [gb] Date 21.01.05 14:48 UTC
The book its self is really interesting and only short. Usual motivational stories in it. I couldn't tell you if the cd is helping, because I have only heard the first five ten minutes of it. I have listened to it all but always fall asleep. The next thing I remember is "Thre ,two one you are awake" Very very relaxing tho. It seems to be working for me, so I'll keep listening.
- By Alli [gb] Date 21.01.05 16:16 UTC
Might have to give it a go. I have been slowly losing weight since I started working. My legs and bum have def firmed up. I just wish my saggy tum would too lol.
