Please could someone advise me on the best or correct lead to show a pug in. I saw one at a dog show which was a small leather half check chain with a thin leather string like lead which I liked the look of.  Does anyone know where I get get one of these or similar??  Should I wait until I go to Crufts?    Best Wishes xx

a semi choke and lead all in one is the best,as pugs dont have much of a neck this is the safest type of lead. you want a rolled leather one,try manchester next week or wait for crufts. you should be able to get a cheap version online for training him before his debuet.

You will find the biggest choice at Crufts,  there are several traders who do them.  Check out the different leathers, and which you think your dog will go best in, some are very soft (which I need for Mabel) and some much harder.  Sirius do very smar,t natural leather ones, in a variety of shades of leather, but they are quite stiff.  I often use a soft nylon "string" lead, with plaited throat piece for training, which you can get from Hub.
