Just come back from a show. Summers 1st, 6months old yesterday, pipped into 2nd in AV gundog puppy, but took 1st in breed class. And although Tia is only 11 months had to put her into Open class, where she took 3rd to Sh CH's. I was so excited I could have wet myself, unfortunately poor Summer did, all over judges hand when he was going over her hind legs, I was so embarrased and he said not to worry, she's only a baby :D :D

well done,what a brill day!
:D Summer

Thanks everyone, still on cloud 9.
Kazz, as if ;) thats probably my year done and dusted :D, Tia is changing so much at the moment, only 3 weeks ago at a show, she was mistaken for a Flatcoat :)
Patricia, no decent photos, not good enough to put on homepage as they are either running around or too distant, my skills with a camera leave a lot to be desired. Will e-mail you what I think are the best of a bad bunch.
I was a bit cheeky and spoke to the judge afterwards and asked his opinion of Summer, he asked if I wanted the critique or an honest opinion, I said honest opinion. So..... Excellent conformation, good head, dark eyes, excellent teeth, moves well and uses her tail, front feet slightly flopy but should come with age. Downside, as she is still quite short and being heavy boned with full thickcoat makes her look slighty dumpy, he suggested I might like to cut down on her feeding, She hasnt eaten for 3 days :) He felt she had all the qualities he was looking for and she was a real baby baby, so overlooked her initial faux pax. (the christening) :D I love that man :D :D

Well done and to get RBOB too, brilliant :d All the best for 2005!

Many congrats :) We should have been at a show today but Delly the Belly is in season and we thought it would be unfair to all the dogs there :D :D

I wasnt going to tell anyone this, but have got over it now. At Carlisle the following day, Tia took 1 in Lab Grad and 1st in Lab open and BOB.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>We were the only lab in the whole show. So I just stood in the ring after grad and kept collecting all these tickets without doing anything, ohhh the embarassment (red face smillie) if there is one :D :D But Tia did take 2nd in AV Gundog puppy and 3rd in AV gundog open, out of 11 so am quite please with that.

I know, :) It was just the fact that the steward doing her job shouting out the class wins one after the other while I was standing chatting to the judge. At least judge said she was worthy of a win, It would have been so much more embarrasing if I took 2nd. I have heard of that happening.

yeah so true, i have even been at an open show when judges have withheld 1st place, i didnt get a close look at your dogs but from what i did see they sure did deserve there 1st place, only dog or not, im sure they will win much more
