- By Guest [gb] Date 14.01.05 15:43 UTC
If you are a member of an Obedience Training Club (obviously without mentioning their name) what do you consider to be their BEST and WORST points?

LOL :) I'd love to come to your club, John :) My club is fine, except for one of the instructors who shows off all the time :(

Good Points, our instructors always makes a point of talking to everyone individually at some point and as it is in part of the town hall, the rubber is down permanently. Bad points -  none

Best points:

Fantastic instructors (always helpful and making sure that everyone gets one-on-one work), very friendly and fun, good variety of classes (Family Dog is the basic obedence + socialisation course, Puppy Hours is the puppies course, Jugend + Hund is the class for kids and their dogs, and then we have Sport Dog which is BH, IPO, and Schutzhund )

Bad Points:

We always work out in a field, fenced of course, but being a field :D it tends to get very very muddy in the rainy season :D and in the early and late months of the year it is waaaaaaay cold.  I can remember times that we were practically swimming in mud.  Other than that there are no bad points :)

So when are you moving up here to Norfolk John, so that I can come and be trained by you!! ;-)

I'd keep you supplied with the very best Malt, if thats an incentive :-D

I would love to LD. Had some lovely holidays on the broards. I remember one day we were moored up at Reedham and were cooking dinner and it all caught fire. We stuffed everything in the oven, abandoned ship and went to the pub! Came out later when the fire was over and had another go at cooking dinner!

Best wishes, John

MMMM seem to remember seeing the smoke from that fire rising over the trees John!! lol

We are right in the middle of the Broads, where we live so you would feel right at home :-D

I remember, there was a church on the broads with a separate bell tower. My friend and myself were standing there all dressed up in our "Hells Angles" motorcycle gear (This was very many years ago) The vicar came out, I imagine to defend his church, and we got talking. He invited us up the tower. The view from the top was superb! We could see for miles! I still have the photos.

Best wishes, John

Would that be either Rackheath or Salhouse?

The views from both of them are wonderful.

You'll have to take another holiday up here now you have time on your hands.

xx

It would have been just off of the river Waveney. I remember we had sailed down the Yare then through the New Cut to the Waveney. It was in easy walking distance of the river and rather obviously before we had go to the nearest pub!

Best wishes, John
