Have you or your neighbours got cats? Think your dog may be having trouble with fleas or may be nettles. It is unlikely that the pup would have had time to develope a food allergy. JH

Cleo has recently started biting her back leg at the thigh and at the hock - could this be because we have a cat?

Buy a tin of Acclaim from your Vet. and spray the whole house pay care to do the edges of carpets and under and between chair cushions also pet beds. Put the dog & cat out before you start and then when finished take yourself out for half an hour, when you get back open the windows. The young and eggs of fleas can live for months in furnishings and will re-infect your dog/cat even if they are frontlined. JH

Fleas get on, feed, and get off, I get bitten and I only have a bit of hair on my head the same as the pup, but if there are no cats around and no other dogs then you should look else where. The vet will do a skin test if the problem is bad I take it you are not spraying anything in the house with anything like Febreze as that could cause it. I supose that because of the lack of coat it could even be caused by the soap powder you use to wash the bedding. This sort of problem can take a lot of tracking down sometimes. JH
