'Hati Kou' a japanese tale about a dog faithful to his master. I'd like to read the story but can't find it in English. Does anyone know where I could find it?
Thanks in advance.

Hachi-Ko or Hachiko- the Japanese Akita - lovely story, there's a statue to him at Tokyo station. The story is in a number of books on the Akita - I know it's in The Book of the Akita by Joan McDonald Brearley, but you may find it on the 'net if you do a search

Thankyou Anwen, I'll try looking with the extra info you've given me. :)

I did a search on the corrected name Anwen posted and came up a number of websites containing the story-and what a lovely story, a Japanese Greyfriars Bobby! :)

Was he the Akita who used to wait at the train station?

I watched a tv documentary recently on him, it was heartbreaking.
