Hi I am in a quandry, when I got my puppy I wasn't working but now she is 4 months old I have been offered a part-time job, I will be out of the house for approx. 5.5 hours, is that too long for a dog to be left in a cage?

Yes, can you not give her the run of the kitchen or utility area?
