I am looking for a stud dog (Staffordshire Bull Terrier) in Norfolk, to breed with my Bitch. She is red in colour and this will be her 3rd season and her 1st time breeding. I am arranging for her to have an eye test as i understand this is required. I would prefer a red dog but will consider any colour. Thanks

Firstly well done for having her eyes tested.Secondly I assume you are looking in advance so you have time to find a SUITABLE stud.Your first port of call should be your bitches breeder IF they are reputable .If not try contacting the breed club for advice

Hi, if you go to the search page on this site and look for staff stud dogs you'll find several. I can personally recommend Gwen from Hasweth staffs in Nottinghamshire - she has a lovely red lad Jack, you can contact her throiugh her page on here. Hopr the eye-test goes well. :)

Surely as with all breeds though you shouldnt breed for just colour surely type and temperament are more important?
Thought that went without saying! Obviously type and temperament are paramount - that's why I like Jack! :)

Shouldn't the breeding be considered at the same time as temperament & health ?
