I just phoned up to add Alfie onto my pet insurance and one of the questions I was asked was "has he shown any vicious tendancies?" errrr ........ he is a 12 week old Irish Setter the only viciousness he has shown is towards my other Irish Setter when he steals his toys - and then all he does is swing off his ears  and anyway derrr... like I would tell you if he had :D :D

Anyway im not happy now cos my insurance has gone up to £47 for two cats and two dogs :(

We had the same question at our vets when we insured Kayla, they sort it all for you when you go into start your puppy course. She was only 7 weeks old!! Talk about stupid question!!! LOL!

Yes seems the norm these days for insurance companies to ask this silly question, i know with mine they wanted to know if my pup had bitten anyone

When I was insuring one of my girls I was aksed if I was planning on using them as Guard Dogs. I said well you'll probably find my lot would invite the burglers in and offer to show them where the goodies were kept :D The girl doing the insurance policy was in stiches :D

I was asked the same thing when I got Storm and at the time she was only a baby. Once I managed to stop laughing long enough, I told them the only viscous tendancies she showed was a very savage lick, which should be avoided at all costs. I don't think that they saw the funny side. :D

Hi Wolfie,

I am taking it that Storm is siberian husky or malamute???

My insurance is with petplan. I pay £15 per dog, per month.
Insurance covers all vet bills and excess is £70.
