Why don't you wait till next time, find the best stud dog you can, build up a good relationship with the stud dog owner and go from there?
Its best to have everything planned properly before you breed. Im not sure what health tests WHWT's need, but if i were you id make sure you have them all done before your bitch is next due in season.
I have been planning my bitch's mating for 6 months, its not till later this year. There are lots of things you need to consider, like emergancy vet bills etc just in case. Make sure you have a kitty of about £1000 to cover such emergancies. Then, including the stud fee, travel costs, whelping supplies, puppy packs, and the rest, have another £1000 to cover every eventuality.
Its a very expensive thing to do, and remember you could lose your bitch.
I wish you luck if the mating goes ahead, i hope you have a wonderful experience and everything goes well.
