hi we are on day 59 i thought she was starting in labour last night she was very restless and panting for a few minutes then stopping but starting again about 20 mins after ,we got everything ready i filled myself with coffee for a long night ahead but eventually she settled and slept all night,this morning she wouldnt eat her breakfast ive took her temperature and its the same as yesterday 37.7 she doesnt have any discharge but is very restless she wont lie down at all and shes still panting ,she seems very uncomfortable what do you think is this the start,this isnt my first litter but it is bonnies it doesnt get any easier wheather its the first or not im still nervous

I would say yes, she is in the early stages, panting, sleeping, restless............

hi shes stopped panting now and is fast asleep and has been for about 2 and half hours shes also had some turkey out if my hand so maybe shell make another day im a bit worried about her having them early shes not due untill wednesday,does anyone know what her temperature can drop to and what it should be in c its been 37.7 for 2 days ive had a new themometre and it only works on c

Hi, my girls go down to about 37.0 and Lace went down to 36.8 taking it every few hours,even hour and a halfly, so I hopefully wouldn`t miss the drop.So she may not have had the proper drop yet but seriously getting herself ready.Hope this helps. Gail :) :) :)

Keep a watch out, if she brings the Turkey back up soon, then you know she's on her way

My bitch went on like that for ages and had us all on tenderhooks for hours on end.  Eventually, when we were least expecting it, out popped a pup!

That's the truth. In the time it took me to get a cup of coffee the first pup arrived and I had missed it.  Keep watch. :)

she was very uncomfotable last night panting like mad and she lost the mucus plug so i thought she would have them last night for sure,but after hours of this she settled again and slept through the night,ive staight up 2 nights with her now just dozing on the settee im shattered before their even here!!i took her temp this morning and its dropped from 37.7 to 37.2 so im sure shes nearly ready she wont go outside at all she wont eat meat out of my hands not even her favourite shortcake biscuits she usually hears the biscuit tin a mile away,shes not panting at all this morning she just seems tierd out,ill let you all know as soon as anything happens.

Sounds like the little jeckies re on their way lol. Keep a close eye on her they usually pop them out when your least expecting it lol, like when you think theyre fast asleep and so peaceful and comfortable that they wouldnt just start pushing, but beleive me they do.

Hey Dylans, playing the waiting game here too! She is scratching about and panting quite a bit, generally quite restless.  She has decided that there is no way in hell she is going to let me take her temp so I really feel like I'm flying blind!

hi everyone nothings happened yet infact shes stopped panting altogether and she eat her tea last night,wont have a biscuit off me though shes not reastless anymore just very quite carnt be bothered to move,i dont know whats going on at all,she started panting on thursday night and hasnt been the same since, has anyone else had this before with their girls???

hi everyone its me again well this morning shes eat her breakfast and half of my boys aswell she had her shortbread biscuits for pudding shes been out ,her temp is 37.2 and shes panting,what does this mean?? i havent been through the door since thursday incase anything happens when im out,with all these signs i dont know why shes holding on to them,

When is she actually due?  is it tomorrow?  If you've noticed a temp drop then whelping normally happens within 24 hours, some bitches don't stop eating, one of my girls didn't...........but did bring it all back up just before the first pup made it's appearance!  The panting is the pups lining up ready to be born, just keep a watch for first signs of pushing.

Not much longer now, fingers crossed it all happens soon!

try not to worry, maybe you should take her for a few short walks today, try and get everything moving?

Sounds like we may be getting ready, fingers crossed.  My girls always eat right up to just before having their pups :d  Keep us up-to-date and I hope all goes well.

hi everyone bonnie had her first puppy at 11.30 last night she had 13  8 boys and five girls they are all doing well ,bonnie was wonderful!!! they are all fast asleep now the last one was born at 7.02 this morning,just under 8 hours for 13 puppys i think shes done well im so proud,

Wow!  13!!  Congratulations, well worth the wait...........the adrenalin takes over doesn't it!
