Thoughts please as I a m slightly concerned. Had our bitch mated on day 11,13,and 15 of season, loss was minimal and watery pink as you would expect around the dertile time. After matings she continued to lose a pink blod stained discharge that was very watery, but she is now 11days post first mating and is losing dark red. (normal season amounts not heavy). This contrasts her last litter when her bleeding stopped completely day 15 and she had 9 pups thereafter.
Should I be concerned or is she just continuing her normal season pattern ?

Just read through post, sorry about spelling mistakes, should read fertile, not dertile  and blood not blod..... !!

Is she losing a lot of blood, or just a little dark red blood?  If it is just a little, it is probably just the end of the season, and probably irrelevant to whether she is pregnant or not. I had a bitch whose season once lasted to day 27, after being mated, and still had a fine litter.

I always think a season can be divided into three parts, days 1 - 8 approx bright red blood, days 9 - 13 approx watery blood, days 14 onwards old dark red blood.

It's just a little dark red blood. She would be on day 23 of her season today. She normally finishes 24-28 days. Thanks for your reply, it has put my mind at rest.
