hi, hope someone can help, whenever i send a picture to someone as an email, the picture is recieved much bigger than sent ie much bigger than the screen can take, the recipient has to scroll around to try and get a clear veiw of the pic, its really annoying, i download pic from digital camera into photoimpression then right click and send email, am i doing something wrong or is my pc rubbish. thanks xx

I am sure someone will come along with far more knowledge on this than I have, but I had exactly this problem for ages.

Then I was told I have to put the pictures into jpeg format and reduce the size, can't help on your programme but my photo programme has a bit where you can reduce the size.  Its in the bit where you can edit the photo.

Hope this helps a little, even if only the fact that there is someone else out there who is useless with pc's :-D

As far as i remember Photoimpression does have an edit option where you can alter the size. Its a lot of messing about but it can be done. I'll have a look tomorrow for you and see if i can work it out. I'll have to upload it back onto the PC but it shouldnt take long.

We got a new PC not long back with Windows XP which has its own photo editor! Its wonderful, i dont have to mess about any more.

You are not doing anything wrong - you just have your photo's set to a high resolution image on the camera and what you are seeing before you send it is probably only a thumbnail - or a reduced size photo. I usually open up the photo in paint and resize the photo in there (using the stretch/skew function) - you can use any imaging program though (I just use paint as its available on every machine). If you save the reduced size photo to your desktop (or wherever you keep pictures) you can then email it from there.

HTH :)

Your could try shrinking the picture down to e-mail size then send it to your own e-mail address first to see how it comes out.
Doing this by trial and error till the right size is sent/received may save some embarrassment when forewarding it on.

If you have windows xp and download the pictures to My pictures folder, when you click on the picture you want to send, then click on e-mail this file on the left of the screen, it then gives you the option to either send the picture at the original size or make pictures smaller.

Hope that helps (if you have XP)
