Hi Guys, Just after a little help and advice.

My 3 year old spayed girl Jade has suffered from anal furunculosis since the age of 1.5 yrs. She has had this on and off every few months. She has had 2 operations to take the damaged tissue etc away and has been on many courses of steriods and anit biotics.
These all seemed to work for a little while but then it would come back, luckily she has been clear from the a/f for about 4 months now and all was going well.

The last week or so the kennel sleeping compartment has been urinated in by one of the 2 dogs that are in there, Jade being one of them. For the last 2 nights she has slept in the house and on both occasions has urinated and defecated in my kitchen.
This morning I came down to a very wet dog bed and poo on the floor.

Now everytime she wees its on the bedding rather than on the floor but the feaces is not on the bed. Im starting to wonder whether or not she is incontinent. Thing is she never poos in the kennel only wees, yet when she is in the house she does both, Im a little confused lol.

Jade has always been a very clean dog and has been housetrained since the age of 8 weeks, when she does have to go to the toilet in the house becuase she has diahorrea or something then she gets very stressed. I obviousely never tell them off if they have to go to the toilet in the house because they are all house trained and if they do then I see it as my fault.

I was thinking maybe because of the operations she has had on the anal area could cause the fecal incontinence but it shouldnt affect the urinary tract, should it?

Has nayone else had any experiences like this and what was the diagnosis?

Any help will be appreciated.

I will take her to the vets but will wait until they are open again for surgery but in the meantime just wanted some extra advice

Sorry its so long lol

Amy
