Hazel went for her walk today and sliced her pad on glass. I wish people wernt so careless now my poor haze has to stay in over night to be stitched up. They are going to ring tonight and let us know how she gets on.

Poor Hazel! :( It makes me so cross when people leave such dangerous stuff around. To my mind it's a far greater hazard than dog poo.

It's really annoying :( Also one of our fields has a turkey carcass left by a ditch for the foxes :( :(

Oh it makes me mad!!! We have bus stops round our way that are always smashed with glass all over the place, have to be so careful when walking :(
Saying that the most serious cut we have had was from flint, one of our girls severd an artery!
Wonder what would happen if a child cut themselves badly on glass and parents complaind to the council?
Poor Hazel :( Hope she gets better soon! Having said that though, I must be really lucky up here-you very rarely see any broken glass etc lying around and my local park is always kept immaculate!

Poor Hazel, what a rotten thing to happen! :( I hope it isn't too traumatic for her. ;)
My daughters friend fell over in our village and cut her hand very badly on glass a few weeks ago (9 stitches) and her mum complained to our council and all they said was that they send round street cleaners and that they cannot be responsible for litter/dangerous things that are deposited either after or before the cleaners do their job, which is done once a day or twice if there is a report of hazardous things.
The council do not pick and choose between animals and humans unfortunately!

Hope she feels better soon! If Dylan ever had to stay in overnight he'd go crazy, I hope Hazel's a lot more relaxed about it
:-)
Hi there. Can really sympathise with you as we had the same thing about 6 weeks ago. He is now running about fine. He cut his on something that was sunk in the ground when he was digging in mole hills. I think it was an old bit of china or something like that. We steer clear of mole hills now just to be on the safe side.

Shes home and taking the comfy life on the sofa with a duvet cover, When i take the others for a walk she wants to come but she's only allowed out by herself on a lead on paving slabs concrete of pavement and she cant go to far. Shes got to go back Thursday for them to have a look at it the stitches are disolvable so they dont have to come out.
