I use it and find it very good, it is determined by weight of the dog and I use it because we seem to be becoming overrun with foxes in B'ham and Stringhold protects against mange.
Never had a problem using it and easy to apply to betwen the shoulder blades.

I have used it since it came onto the market her ( 3 or 4 years) it is excellent, easy to use and very effective.

Just to let you know this is not an accepted treatment as far as the pet passport system goes. Our new import had to go into quarantine overnight because this was used & had to be done again with Frontline.

I have a dog who last year was frontlined but had huge problems with ticks and i mean huge, i was removing 80-90 (very tiny ones with the odd large one) off her most evenings, this year we've used stronghold and not a tick in sight, the vet was amazed and eveningtried phoning the frontline people for advice. but your right its no good for the pet passport as frontline is the only licenced treatment for the passport.

A question Jen888. Were you using the Frontline spray or the spot on? I normally use spray and have never had a problem but this year, because my vet was out of spray I used the spot on and seemed to have problems from then on! I know I am always in places where fleas and ticks abound but never had this trouble before.

I find frontline poorly effective my 6 at the time were done with it then about a week later they had fleas that they picked up from the fields, We treated the house and everything we rang the vet they just said it must of been a dud bottle but then i bought it a month later and i still didnt find it worked 100% since then i have tried stronghold which completely wipes out everything
Funny thing is stronghold doesn't say its for ticks, thats why vets reccommend frontline.

I was using the frontline spot on not spray now having switched to stronghold (which by the way also worms the dogs) i have had no problems and the only reason it doesnt say its for ticks is because its not licensed for ticks which is why its no good for the passport, but believe me it works!!

Thanks for that Jen888. Interesting that we both have trouble with the spot on.
