Hi All,

I have a 17 month GSD, I have noticed these past few days that one side of his mouth (the droopy lip bit at the back!) seems to be pink and looks a bit swollen... the other side is black and droopy and normal!
It looks as if it is "crusty" but it isn't to touch,it also dosent seem to be sore at all.  It dosent bother him in any way,he is eating, drinking, yawning(very widely - lol) and licking his lips at all the christmas leftovers!! It just looks awfull...Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts, I am off to the vets tomorrow to have him weighed and wormed so will have it checked out anyway

Run a search for lip fold excemia (I gained some excellent advice from posters on here for my Cocker)  She had a very swollen back lip and sounds as you described (except hers was very smelly)  Have you been to the vets yet?
