You will get both dog and cat items, its like a giant pet shop.

I went in 2003 aswell and I could not find cat toys, and there was not a wide selection of collars and general stuff cats need around the house. I could mostly find things that are both for cats and dogs. We will be staying a week in Meriden so I would love to visit some petstores aswell.

Hi Eva, if you're staying in Meriden then may I suggest Melbicks' garden centre, up the A45 towards Brownshill its not far from there. They sell all sorts of pet products, toys, food, accessories etc.

Could you give me the address? I have already bought a map of the area and would like to make little x's where the places I wan't to take a look are are :)

There will be four of us travelling together from Iceland and we are going to try to use the week we got as well as possible.

If you drive eastwards towards Coventry from the NEC there is a large Pets at Home store too.

Hi, Melbicks garden and leisure is on the A452 just minutes from M6 junction 4 or M42 junction 6. From M6 j4 follow signs for the NEC.
From M42 j6 take the A45 for Coventry then A452 for Brownhills. They are on the right but you need to come back on yourself at the next roundabout just up the road.
If you put in Melbicks garden centre in Ask Jeeves, you will find their web page and it will show you a map and give you these directions.

Oh i can't wait to go visit some decent petstores, I am getting quite sick of the Icelandic ones and the prices here are extreme. I am atleast going to look as hard as I can for a water fountain for the dog :) and let the cats have the small one i bought online.

I never thought of a water fountain for my dog. In the summer I tied the hose pipe over the washing line and she had a fantastic time getting wet! :) It kept her away from the fish pond!
Happy shopping, I'll be going there soon to get more dog food, its the only place I can get autarky, so I'll have a look see what they have.
