Just reading the ringcraft questions and I was wondering how many of you attend a ringcraft, how long it is, how much it costs and what sort of training you get, and how many trainers there are etc.

Just being nosey!

We go to ringcraft, it costs £2 per session and there are 2 trainers. We arrive at about 7.30 and leave at 8.30 but it goes on longer than that...we have to get home for the kids :)

We have a few sessions of weaving in and out of the other dogs before all taking turns to go around in a triangle and have one of the ladies going over the dogs just like a judge does :)

We go to ringcraft, although we have 'broken up for xmas' plus Kayla's Kc! It costs £1.25 per session and runs from 7 til 8 but it has been known for the chatting to go past that!!
We all stack our dogs in a row like you would in the ring then we might all be asked to go around once of twice then each dog is gone over by the lady who runs it(hi Carol if you are still around on here!) then we can do an up and down, triangle, T formation or just a circle, or a combination of those.
We get 4 or 5 'goes' during an evening and Carol is always keen to know waht we have been doing, which shows, any wins etc.
It is not well advertised at the mo, so only 3 or 4 dogs turn up but in the new year we are expecting more so if anyone lives anywhere near Redcar then you and your dog(s) are welcome to join!!(that's my bit of promo over :D)

My ringcraft starts at 7:30 and runs until about 9:30 sometimes 10pm.  It costs £2:50.  we start off like a show, all dogs stacked then all moved together, then we all queue for our "go" for our dogs to be gone over and moved individually.  We usually get 4 or 5 goes in an evening.

Don't go anymore but will soon when I get my puppy!

Costs £1 each time and runs from 7.30 till 8.30 but often overshoots the time. We do different things each week, get as many people as possible to go over them so they get used to it. We weave in and out of the other dogs so they get used to each other, they are also allowed to socialise at the end and its brilliant because all the dogs get on so well with each other (sometimes can be around 15 dogs there). There's 2 trainers, we spend some of the night doing up and downs, trotting on left side and right side, and then do circles and triangles. And we also all move together in a group so they get used to the extra excitment. My show collie has really benefitted from going, and when we find the time to show, she absolutely adores it.
