My family and I were watching the Garfield movie and in selecting the "Other" option off the DVD, we saw previews to the movie Winn-Dixie.  The breed on the movie, which the breeder being interviewed stated as being a Bacardi Shepherd, is an exact replica of our dog which we thought was a mutt.

I have scoured the web looking for this breed and have found nothing.  On the interview he stated it was a French breed.  Is there anywhere I can get more information on this breed?  I am unsure of the spelling.
