my new bulldog never stops pooing in her cage i carnt understand it even if shes only in it half an hour last night she was out of her cage and watching tele with us and she went to her cage pood in it and came out again why does she do this is she confused or just dirty??has anyone got any ideas how i can get her to stop this??

IMO she isn't dirty or she wouldn't have gone to her cage. She's got her wires crossed and thinks she's meant to go there. How old is she? How long have you had her? If she's older was this a problem in her previous home?
Have you cleaned her cage thoroughly with biological washing powder to make certain the smell is gone?

I would start over with her. Remove the bedding and put fresh stuff in for a start
Then, start taking her outside every 15 mins or so and tell her to *hurry up* until she performs, then give her a treat and a HUGE fuss when she does a wee or poo. Also take her out after every drink and every meal...remember that you have to take her out and not expect her to go out on her own. She needs to learn what you want from her :)
IF she has an accident, take her outside and stay there with her until she goes and repeat as above.
I would keep this up until you are positive that she has got the message.

How old is she?
My 9 week old Collie is doing the same, although she doesn't go to here cage to do the dirty so to speak, only when she has been left for a little while. To start with she was really good and didn't do it, but now it's becoming quite regular and we are have to wash her and her bedding every day as she gets into such a state. Bit of an upsetting problem so I can empathise with you, and I'll be watching for usefull hints and tips on here!!

How big is your collie pup's crate? If it's any bigger than she needs to lie down and stand up and turn around, then she's more likely to use the extra area to eliminate :( You can reduce the area available by using a large cardboard box temp until she's fully grown. She may also be using it to express her displeasure at being left alone - all puppies need careful training to accept being alone for short periods.

have you named her yet? if not she may be upset cos shes nameless! ;)
Nah she's not nameless!! She is called Tosca. I am gonna be sorting the space in the crate problem this weekend. I posted a thingy on here regarding it and asked for suggestions for the best way to do it as she just trashes the cardboard boxes and then poos on them!! Bad doggy!! Wuff Wuff!!
She is generally fine in her crate, she can see everything that goes on during the day, she knows she isn't alone per se. The only time she is left is if I have to go out shopping, but thats generally only for about an hour at a time. My GSD cross puppy sits her too so she always has someone there to talk to!

not your dog! dylans poor little nameless one!!!!
that could be why then!!her name at the moment is olive, hilda patsy ,and she used to be quit clean when we first had her but its all gone down hill since,i know shes only 11 weeks but she seems to have got the wrong idea!!!!!!!
Have you tried her with puppy pads? I was very sceptical about this, but I got a freeby one when I went to the vets. I tried it out as it seemed Tosca was looking for a particular spot to wee in the kitchen each time, and lo and behold she used it! Several times in fact. So we are going to get some from the pet shop, with a holder to stop her from dragging it around the house when it is covered in wee! It seems that she just isn't mature enough to hold it in or to ask to go out, so we will give her an ok place to do it in the house and see how we get on. Might be worth a try with...ahem....Olive, hilda, Patsy.....I really think thats why your poor puupy is messing...she is punishing you!!!
well i just carnt decide on her name i know its cruel!!! maybe santa will bring her the perfect name???
