I hope someone can advise me on this. I have two dogs, whom when walked individually on the lead are perfectly fine. The problem is when I take them out together - they go from being very good to being a pain. They both wear halti's as they are fairly strong and when walked individually they don't pull, but when together, they pull all the time - it's like a competition between the two of them as to whom can walk slightly in front of the other.

It's not always feasible for me to walk them separately so I would like to try and correct how they walk together. My partner (when not working) walks one of them, and although they are better when two people are walking them, they are still not good. The one who is behind constantly pulls to catch up with the one in front. We often go separate way and once the other is out of sight - they are brilliant again. Does any one have any tips?

I would walk them abreast so none is leading, this should not be too hared wirth the Halti's if you adjust the lead length accordingly.  I can walk up to four of mine abreast (Medium size breed) but now I walk five I usually have 3 in front and two behind, but they choose their own positions within the limits of the leads length.

Are these dogs near enough the same age?  I neve found mine would compete for pole position, but I never let them get ahead of me at all.  Mine are all succeeding generations so around 3 years between each in age.
