I am going to be showing my puppy in the new year, and would like to know, if anyone knows of any good ringcaft classes in Hull or surrounding area. I would appeciate any help. Also how old should the puppy be when you first start taking him to ringcraft? The puppy has had all injections up to date.

As soon as possible! My local ringcraft takes pups from 13 weeks (a week after the second injection).

There used to be one at the Methodist Hall in Beverley I think - near the Job Centre?

Methodist Hall is nowhere near the Job Centre :) did you mean the St John Ambulance Hall ? Very small hall & can get very crowded if memory serves me right not a lot of on street parking but there is the JC car park

We allow dogs at our ringcraft from 9 weeks (week after first injection) though only to be held in arms and at choice of owner.  training starts after 2nd innoculation.

Hi someone else from Hull!!!  There are a few ringcrafts about, theres one in the St Johns ambulance hall in Beverley, but it does get quite cramped in there, however they al lovely and there is a nice mix of dogs.  Theres also one off Hedon Road and a bigger on at Hornsea Dog club, they do agility and obedience ect pls PM me if you want more details!!  Also my trainer is wanting to set one up in West Hull in the near future, it might be worth giving her a ring, she is great when it comes to showing :)

What breed have you got, and whereabouts are you?

Regards Sue

hi some one local ! just any way i am at a local dog club in immingham. wat pup do you have ? i show as well , i recomend just going to ringcraft as it teaches the dog more concentration methords i think ! and wiith my breed they need all the concentration they need. it teaches them to depend on you for what to do . good luck

I own dogue de bordeauxs 3 of them and need loads of advice as im new to all of this. I suppose you have boxers, my mum has 2 which she required from boxer protection. do you also need to go to obedience training or is ring craft similar? Where do you live is it close to Hull? Thanks all again for you advice.

hi wat beaty of dogs you have. i go to obediene and ringcraft. i find that it does given them something new to do and gets their attenion more. you need as much control over your dog as poss i think. so training is amust esspec in a larger breed .
