Can anyone out there recommend hotels, bed and breakfast etc in the Cambridge area that allow dogs to stay?  We have a chihuahua which we want to take with us on a visit to Cambridge, so its not a 'big' dog.  Internet search engines have come up with nothing so I hope someone can help here?  Thanks everyone.

When we need accommodation with our dogs we contact the local tourist information centre and explain exactly what we want. We have always been very pleased with the result.

We have used dog friendly guides etc but sometimes all is not what it seems. On one occasion after booking we discovered dogs welcome meant they didn't get in the house and had to sleep in a barn or the car. That's not what I call welcome

Check out Holiday Inn's and Holiday Inn Expresses - many of those take dogs with no extra cost.  I'm sure there's one near Cambridge - and the HI Expresses also include a continental breakfast.

Also Travel Lodge takes dogs for an extra fee.
