Had a good day today, as some may know from my post on behaviour we have just got 6 month old golden retriever who i don't believe has been treated properly not necessarily through cruelness maybe ignorence anyway we had a great walk in the park apart from the barking at other dogs and animals which we will have to seek professional help as i don't think he has been socialised with other dogs at all. Think he will be a great dog when we have confronted all his fears. Would just like to say a big thankyou to all who have advised and supported me just through text, it has been a great help.
I've read your other post and am glad that things are getting better. Just keep perservering, you'll get there. :)
thankyou lindylou i am sure we will get there eventually.

Hi Louise,
Glad you sound in a little better spirits today :) You will have good days and bad days until you see your special little fellow show signs of improving but remember there's always someone on here at some point who even if they can't always help are an "ear" to listen and share with ;)
Very best wishes, Teri
Thanks for your kind words Teri, you just made me cry!!! still a bit emotional at the moment plus we didn't get much sleep for the barking and whining think we may have been too soft!!!

Louise,
Too soft? Don't worry, I invented the concept :D When one of my dogs is poorly I'm a wreck so I know it's important to have someone to talk to. Sometimes when we visit the vet we only hear half of what's said because we're too focused on one aspect of a particular problem - I try when practical to take my OH or daughter along to "fill in the blanks" when we get home!
Didn't mean to make you cry - sorry :( but genuinely don't want you to feel you're on your own on this. The great thing about a forum like this is there's a wealth of experiences on it and even when dealing with a specific health issue, different people will be able to offer different but equally valid advice on how best to proceed or cope with a diagnosis/prognosis.
Wishing you all the best.
Regards, Teri :)
Teri,
this forum has been my saviour, just to talk helps, your words made me cry as i didn't realise there were so many nice people, not out of sadness. I have a feeling i will be on here a lot in the near future. I would do a big smiley face if i knew how.

Don't worry - some day someone will be picking your brains and you'll have loads of answers to throw into the mix - that's how we all learn ;)
