Not sure if it was my e-bay account or my yahoo account that was hacked first but one of them was and screwed up the other.

I can't get access to either accounts now and don't think I will be able to as I can't remember all my details of my yahoo account and they won't reinstate it without every single grain of information even if I remember half the questions.

I am so miffed as I use it as my primary e-mail address , all my groups and contacts, show bookings everything :-(((  even here.

I will need to set up a proper one at home on outlook express least I won't lose everything again.

I will use the e-mail tied to my website just now till I can get another one set up at home. The preidie@yahoo.com wont work now so please USE asheridgeleewesties@yahoo.co.uk.

I know a few people had mailed me when Hope had her section last week and sorry if I have missed any mails.  I will post a little update on the breeding section.

My mum had a supposed email from Ebay saying her account had got messed up and could she please send all her details again (via this email)including bank account etc.  She smelled a rat and it was a hack email but her PC has been playing up ever since.

All you ebayers out there beware.

I have never replied to anything at all that is what is the frightening thing . In fact I went in the other night and just couldn't get it. :-((( scary as I am so careful what I do.

I changed all my passwords etc again on my paypal account etc just incase.

I am so mad.

Any emails you get from ebay should be sent straight back to them at
spoof@ebay.co.uk
They will reply and tell you if it was originaly from them or not!  They are very good at doing so - usually within the same day.

That is just the problem, I haven't replied to any mails and never do, I went to go into my e-mail and couldn't access it and same with my e-bay, if you can't access your mail you can't fix the e-bay problem. A right mess.

How do you contact e-bay if it doesn't let you sign in. As soon as I press contact I have to sign in.. grrrrrr

I hadn't been able to access my hotmail account since saturday. Tried it at work today and it was ok but when I tried at home tonight still couldn't get in. After a lengthy call to BT (at 50p per minute!!) I was talked through to changing this that and the other and its all sorted. Well sort of. Couldn't access any 'favourite' web sites either. All my accounts had been 'changed'? Apparently it could have happened when a few 'pop ups' invaded my computer and left icons on my screen, without my knowledge, but I deleted them straight away, had real trouble getting in to champdogs so emailed admin but they said everything here was working ok. Now I have to type in the dial up number and my email to be able to get on it at all! The operator said it could be some kind of scam, virus, but I haven't a clue how to fix it!

Are you sure it was just your e-mail screwed up?  I'm getting a delay message on all Yahoo accounts, your new address included, an e-mail I sent to your new address has come back this morning with a delay message.

Any body else having problems with their Yahoo account???

My virus catcher has suddenly (started yesterday) begun fielding several infected emails, all from Yahoo accounts.

I'm getting a delayed message too, on a mail I sent to a hotmail account.

My e-mails from yahoo groups are not being transferred from Mailwasher to Outlook, neither are replies to postings on CD.  So I decided to go direct to Outlook, but still problems.

Outlook has just told me I have 1 new e-mail and it doesn't appear anywhere!!!

I've done a virus check and there doesn't appear to be anything wrong.

So what do I do now????

I had trouble yesterday with the Champdogs email notifications of posts being delayed up to 3 hours although it appears ok today. One thing I did notice Lady D, was that Outlook slotted the emails into their correct time slot which meant that on the occasions when I has several emails arrive before the delayed ones, the delayed ones had sometims been slotted in off the screen and that I had to scroll back to find them. Could that be whats happened to yours?

They have disappeared completely unfortunately.

I think it may have something to do with the delay thing, as they have to go through Mailwasher before going onto Outlook.

I think they may be floating around in cyber space somewhere and one of these days they will all appear in my inbox together!!!!!! :-D :-D

Some time ago I had a problem with all yahoo accounts.  I set up a new one and that worked perfectly - so I knew it wasn't them.  I spent ages on the phone to Yahoo, my ISP and the company that make the router (we have a network at home) but to no avail.  I could login to all accounts whilst at work and from my sisters house and I called yahoo to delete all incoming emails so that my inbox wasn't full (this was around the time Yahoo gave us all that extra inbox space).

In the end the problem was fixed when we did a system restore, we had picked up a virus that altered the setting for those type of account logins (not sure what it was called or how we got it).  Anyway OH did a complete virus scan/check/cleanup and a system restore.  It solved the problem but all in all it took us about 6 weeks of phone calls and stress.

Just done a system restore and all my e-mails that have been floating in cyber space have suddenly appeared.

Brilliant I knew someone on here would have the answer.
