What toys would be safe to leave with a puppy when they are alone.  I'm thinking along the lines of at night, when she's in her playpen and might get bored.  I know not to leave rawhide chews, but are there any toys that would be safe to leave for her?

Thanks

Hi Harry,

Kongs are best IMHO - virtually indestructable, can fill with kibble or meat paste etc and they can play with them too.  They come in different sizes to suit probably any breed I should think.

I agree kongs are great, very safe and great fun for dogs! :D

Thanks.  I've been looking at Kongs, also wondered whether latex toys would be OK.

Hi again Harry - re. latex, personally I don't know, but I think there's probably different qualities etc of it so I'd stick with the Kong or the cube that's made by the same company (also dispels food) although from an activity point of view I think the original kong is the most versatile.

Perhaps get one attached to a rope too for variety - mine like chewing on things like that, nudging it around, propelling it at high speed across the room  and it cleans their teeth.

Regards, Teri ;)

Above should say "also *dispenses* food" :D :D :D
