Please could someone give me some help and advice on how to choose the best dog staffordshire bull terrior?
I havent a clue what the words "shire" or "Dam" mean or what i have to do to be a owner of one.
Please help i am a novice on this.

Hi Paul,
The sire of a puppy is the puppy's dad and the dam is the puppy's mum.

get hold of the kennel club they'll be able to tell you of any beeders who have puppies at the moment.the puppy register on their internet site,register with them and they'll post you the relevant information.failing that go to www.staffords.co.uk,they have a list of all the breed club secretaries around the country.hope this helps,happy hunting

A "shire" is a huge great horse & "dam" is what you say when it treads on your toes!!:D

An awful lot of research first from the look of things;) Try looking at various sites with information on the breeed, looking through books etc before even considering buying one. If you look up the breed under this site- I'm sure many breeders will have info on the breed on their sites- Good Luck and happy researching:)
