How does one go about establishing a new breed of dog? What are the requirements from bodies such as the Kennel Club and the AKC for registration of a new breed? Rest assured, I am asking simply because this intrigues me, not because I plan any such venture.

What do you mean by a new breed of dog? Do you mean one which is currently being 'created' or do you mean a well established breed that is being brought into the UK from another country which is not currently available here?
