Hi

A friend has a Westie where 2 of its nails have apparantly just fallen out.  She doesn't think they were pulled out accidentally.  I wondered if it was poor diet as she does feed him human food or caused by fungus???  This Westie also has eczema, would this have any bearing?

Has anyone any ideas?

The vet is the best person to answer something that sounds to me quite an issue

There are products on the market for nail fungas but I would suggest the vet first before trying anything at home to be honest.

There is an auto-immune disease called "Pemphigus"  (sp?) and that is a classic symptom.  Speak to your vet.
