Can anyone tell me if its normal for a pug to do handstands, while going to the toilet?...And can anyone tell me if there is a store where i can get a coat for a pug with a hood on?Because my dog hates getting his face wet and tends to keep digging his face into the ground to dry his face off.My breed of dog is an estinite pug who is very much loved and spoilt rotten by me lol.

Not sure what an estinate pug is but doing handstands is not breed specific....my elkhound did it for a short while.

Hi Guest,

Have never heard of estinite pug but my previous ringcraft was run by a couple who bred pugs and two dogs they brought along regularly both did handstands against to trees to have a widdle - looked ever so funny and was always quite a talking point with newcomers :D

Think they mean "EASTONITE" , its a kennel affix.

guest does mean eastonite. it is a pug dog thing doing the handstands, just as long as he doesnt tip over you have nothing to worry about.as for the face rubbing, dont forget to clean his overnose wrinkle daily with a baby wipe then vaseline, also do a daily eye check/clean as pugs do have a habit of face rubbing so if you remove the cause it is much safer. guest, why not register and join in?

Doing everything just a little bit more is so much a pug thing, so if you can cock one leg whey not two?  Hence the handstands.  I know one or two who do it at feeding times too!  Agree with the advice about keeping the nose roll clean, it is vital for a comfy pug.  I have seen a yellow rain coat with a hood in several pet stores, it is just a case of looking to see who stocks them.  If you want something softer you might have to do a google search and ship it in form the USA,  Puglet has an adorable fleecy hoody sweatshirt in her extensive wardrobe, which we got in Philadelphia.
