I am really sick of having to bath my Golden retriever every time we return from a walk. No matter where i walk her she always finds fox poo and rolls in it before i can stop her, and god does she stink. I can't really think of any way to stop her other than keep her on the lead, which isn't fun for either of us. Also i have tried washing her with tomato ketchup and shampoo, and followed by pet fresh deoderiser, but the smell never completely goes away. Has anyone ever managed to get rid of this problem?

Bring a squirt pistol with you on the walks and give him a squirt. He may not like the squirt of water thus discouraging him from rolling in the doo. It worked for my Chihuahua.

Hi ya

I can really sympathise my year old BC rolls every time we go out.  We went out tonight, he had a brand new harness on and what is the first thing he does - yep you got it rolls in dogs poo.  Lovely!  It doesnt matter what sort of poo it is but I can guarantee he will find something and unfortunately the dogs poo rolling is becoming a pain in the bum.  Might try the water pistol idea and see if that works.

Both mine have been through this - particularly as we get fox poo in the garden - so just letting them out for a wee would be enough :( :( However, they both seem to have grown out of it now :)
