can anyone give me some ideas on a name for a vizsla
i wont it to be different or one that reflects a vizsla or just any name will do
names for any sex as well as we have not got the dog yet a dont know what sex we will end up with

How about Magyar? It's the name for the main ethnic group in Hungary.

We have Vizsla' and all of them should be called 'piglet' you will find out why when you've got him/her, they are a great breed though you won't regret it good luck

We have 2  who don't have hungarian names and our wire isn't going to have a hungarian name either but I do think it's a good idea! Kicsim is a good one, think it means 'little one', or Csilla, 'little star', Csaba or Lazslo for a boy, Vladimir is also another good one for a boy(but not so good for recall!!!). You could search on the net for a hungarian dictionary, put the english word in(strong, sweet, gold etc)and it will give you a list of hungarian words which you could fiddle about with and make a unique name.
Good luck with your vizsla when you get him/her, keep us updated :) They really are a great breed, but then Iam rather biased!
