Are you sure it was tinned chum or the complete food?
The breeder of your pup should have given you a diet sheet with rough idea of amounts to feed etc.
Also on the tins or the bags of complete they do also give you an idea of the amount to feed.
BUT it is important to remember that these are only guidelines as some dogs/pups need more
and some less.
When changing the food remember to do it slowly over a 1-2 week period by slowly increasing the ratio of new food and decreasing the ratio of the old food and it can help to put a teaspoon of natural live yoghurt with each feed.
It is also important to note that young pups can find moving to their new home very stressful so it might not be a good idea to change their diet over too quickly, let them adjust to their new surroundings first.

What you put in with regard to training now you will reap the rewards when they are adults :)
