Did anyone see it yesterday? Some choice favourites from the presenter:
* These are a "new breed" from breeding three other types of dogs together
* Bred to look like wolves (is that a good thing to put on kids tv - is the best marketing for a breed?)
* They don't like being alone so make sure you have another dog to keep them company
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lovely dogs - but really - not a good way to promote them!!

Didn't see it (tho I wish I had). I don't know much about Utes, but thought I read somewhere that they were bred to be less 'packy' than other northern breeds and so were more suited to home life and being left alone, without the drive to be constantly on the go. I know there are Utonagan owners on here, so feel free to put me straight!

I didn't watch it Chloe, and I'm glad I didn't.
The Utonagan isn't as 'packy' as other northern breeds nitody, but they don't like to be left alone. In Luca's case, it's not canine company she craves for, it's human.

So I was partly right.. they don't need another dog as company (like BP said) ;-) Thanks for clearing that up Wolfie

No probs nitody. I wouldn't say that they NEED canine company, but it can help if they're to be left for periods of time :)
