Yep any uncooked meat isn't just ok...your dogs will LOVE you for it LOL.
Mine have raw...
lamb breast
pigs trotters
chicken wings and carcasses....FORGET THE BREAST .THEY LIKE THE BONEY BITS...BONE AND ALL
beef
pork ribs
tripe
ox tail
turkey
rabbit
heart
and so on and so on....
I find a meat market the best place to buy...I can get my chicken carcasses for free and loads of cheap ribs etc

As far as other posts feeding and barf versus complete etc there is some evidence to suggest that due to the fact that barf feeders nearly always feed large amounts of chicken on the bone they are opening themselves and their dogs up to the possibility of hormone inbalances as poultry still contains growth hormone, and when fed raw traces would still remain in the chicken & bone, the fact is we have seen a large increase in reproductive problems over the last few years and many (not all) are fed raw.

As I've already explained on the other post one of the reasons my breeder (who is a very well respected breeder who has been breeding dogs sucessfully for many years) changed to BARF was because of reproduction problems and has experienced a big improvement since

Yes, but don't over do the pure meat - dogs need the bones and other bits and pieces as much as they need the almost pure protein in muscle meat.

ok, so let me get this straight..I can buy a whole raw chicken and give it to them.....

:)

You can but you'd be much better off taking off the good meat for yourself..ie breast and legs and then giving the dog the rest(uncooked of course)

There is quite a bit more to feeding raw though, Blondiflops, offal and vegetables (arguably :)) have to be fed as well and in the correct balance so you will need to do a bit more research if that is the way you want to go :)

I got the idea Blondiflops wasn't going in for BARF...just the odd nice 'treat'...could be wrong though...wouldn't be unusual :d

No your correct, they are on burns at the moment which they look great on but unfortunatley getting them to eat it is a chore...I usually have to mix it with a little Tuna or ham/chicken.

I do give them chicken wings but will go whole hog an get them a chicken!!!!! Oh Im so looking forward to seeing their little tails wagging as they devour their treat ha ha! Very carnal!!!

Does make me feel sick though when I can hear the bones snapping yuck!!!

Thank you, my pups would give you a lick of gratitude if they could for pointing their dim owner in the right direction....

You get used to it!

If you are feeding whole carcass I would advise you only use fairly young chicken, especially if your dogs are smallish.  Old chicken have tough bones.   And leave enough meat on, to avoid bone impaction.  And don't forget some veggies too.

Blondiflops i would hate to see how you would react to seeing a dog chow down a calf or sheep's head ;) :D
Plenty of crunching and slurping.

Whole quails are also good if you dont want to start with a big chicken,i have little dogs that cant handle whole chooks but the quails are the perfect size, the also wont eat chicken eggs but love quail eggs, shell and all.

Unfortunately you DO need to keep an eye on them when eating bones ...just in case

:D :D Blondiflops ;) You gave me my first good chuckle for the day which is pretty sad at this time of night!  I must admit i couldnt watch a dog eating a head but i know alot of folk feed them!

Choosing between a head and a lil' ol' chicken,i think i would choose the latter.

I started my big guys on quails to see how they would handle them before progressing up to bigger things,my little guys have no problems with quails, Maybe a pair of earplugs are in order??? :)
