i am filling in the entry form for our 1st open show, and i want to know if i can enter Novice, post grad & open (my girl is 22 months old) and obviously never won anything before

You can enter anything you like apart from age resticted classes eg puppy,junior and veteran

You just need to bear in mind that those echibits in Open could well be Champions or dogs having won out of the earlier classes, so will be much more expereinced.

I would enter say the two first classes plus a Variety class, such as AV (whatever Group your dog is in) or a Stakes class like Any Variety Novice, etc.

With an inexpereinced dog I like to enter 3 classes at Open shows, as often there are not many in a class and the dog is no sooner seen then out of the ring so doesn't really get the4 experince.  the mixed classes are great fun and you tend to relax aq bit more as it is apples against oranges so you feel less pressure.

The question was what can I enter Barbara not what should I enter ....thats why I didn't explain any further

i am quite happy with the classes i chose, i just needed to know that i was allowed to enter those particular ones :)

i have been to shows before, just not been in the ring personally, i am really excited about going and it will be great practice for Manchester when i shall be in the ring with my pup :) :) :)
