i have a golden retriever female and a golden male, she started her season 10/8 and usually bleeds for much of her season, now after 5 days she is not been bleeding anymore and my husband accidently put them outhside together one day.  It seems the next day after they were unattended was the day she stopped. I just wanted to know if she stopped bleeding suddenly could that be a sigh of pregnancy.  We wanted to breed them but not until the next season..  my male for some reason seems less interested in her than before she was in season.  btw this is a great forum and have learned alot from it.

I was just wondering if your female did get pregnant?  My female tied on the 7th day (very unusual for her-she usually ovulates late in her cycle) and is due to have puppies any day now.

My bitch had just been (secretly!) mated when we bought her during the first week of her season. She continued to bleed on and off for the next 2 weeks, then 6 weeks later produced 6 puppies! So the pregnancy didn't affect the normal course of the season at all.
