First thank you all for the replys may be I have put it over wrong
We wish to buy fresh tripe so we can mince and then freeze (to feed to our dogs )we have found that tripe that is already frozen most of the fat has been taken plus this type of tripe doesnt seem to do our dogs so well as when we could do it our selves   As then our dogs would get all the goodness from it
please in our breed most people will tell you the same It is going to be very hard to get this but will keep trying pos defra and e u will make it harder for us all to feed our dogs the way we all wish

I used to get fresh, warm tripe so to speak from my breeder and my dogs never knew anything else but she stopped being able to get it some years ago.

I now buy the frozen from a very good supplier and it is minced and frozen within 24 hours, is this not what you have in mind to do? and my dogs are thriving on it. I can honestly say that their health has not suffered one bit since we have had to do it this way. if you are interested I will go down to my "tripe freezer" and get the contact details for you :)

What breed do you have?

I agree with Hairypooch. But there is frozen tripe & frozen tripe!! If you buy the stuff that is "freeflow" & sold in small packets, then no, I don't think that is the same!! I buy mine in bulk from a wholesaler - so much easier, all you have to do is defrost it! Whereabouts in the country are you? You would do better to Register as this board isn't for repeat postings
