I have just lost my beautiful Oliver. He was a handsome GSD aged over 11 years.
His sire was Blueboy of Foxfold. His Dam was Duchessa Demelza D'Estalla.

I would love to know if anyone would know how I can find a puppy from the same line.
I know I will never get by beautiful Oliver back but love the though of having a distant relative.
I know little of breeding. He was a companion dog and my best friend.
He was bought from Mrs Mestraud in Devon in 1993.
I cant find her on the dog breedres lists.
Oliver was registered by her to the kennel club in 1993.
Any help and advise would be much appeciated.

if you get in touch with WTM publishing on the net or Working Trials UK and put a messae up they will no doubt put you in touch with Eleanor who bred your dog or Tony who owned the sire.
Eleanor no longer lives in Devon.

Hi Julie
I own Foxfold Kameo, my friend has Foxfold Keepsake, another friend has Foxfold Kodiak, they are 2 and a half years old. Their Gt.Gt.Grandfather was Blueboy of Foxfold. I also know a lady who had a Foxfold, he died last year aged 11 years, his name was Rossco, but can't remember his kennel club name.  I could probably find out for you.  There is a picture of Blueboy of Foxfold in a book called
Living with a German Shepherd, in which Tony Fox writes an article called On The Right Track, which is about tracking with the dogs.  He changed his e-mail address last year and he's on ntl now if it's the same one you have. ( he lives in Rochdale)  Good Luck with the family tree.  Sue & Sasha

Sue & Sasha,

Thank you so much for that!
I will definatley get the book to see Blueboy!
I think I have traced his breeder so will contact her and I hope to receive Tonys e mail soon.
I know that I can't get Oliver back but he was so beautiful and had a fantastic character.
He was so fit all 11 years and looked easily half his actual age until he developed a speenal tumour 11 weeks ago.
We lost him 4 weeks ago and feel that life will never be the same again!
I do apppeciate your relpy and wish you lots of happiness with your dogs.

Hi Julie
Thanks for your reply, I can't begin to imagine how you must be feeling about Oliver. Sasha is the best thing that has happened to me since being Widowed and I just could not cope with life without her.  She is so beautiful and has such a kind and caring nature, I already had a 13 years old CKCS when I had Sasha and it was unbelievable the way she treated him so gentle.  I've remembered Rossco's Kennel name it was Foxfold New Dawn, so if Olivers Foxfold name began with the letter "N" then they were out of the same litter. Can't really remember Rossco's age prescisely but he was a lovely lad (looked alot like Blueboy) and died from a stomach tumour, his owners were very devastated too. If you do not have any luck with an e-mail from Tony, I have their phone no.
Good Luck again from Sue & Sasha xx
