Its my birthday today ..... im 27   It wouldnt bother me usually but im really feeling my age, i had the mother of all hangovers Sunday which is generally unheard of but the last few weekends ive been suffering - so much so im considering giving the bottle the boot :(  What made me feel really old is I went out at the weekend and bought an estate car, goodbye souped up little boy racer car hello fat old estate car.  I had to get the estate because we are getting a new puppy soon and two Irish Setters will just not fit on the back seat of my 206 !!  I suppose I was a bit picky about the car I got, I wouldnt get anything that was too old man like so I narrowed it down to an Audi A4, BMW touring or a Subaru Legacy, ive ended up with the Subaru Legacy 2.5 its an automatic and its really fast and doesnt actually look so bad - still make me feel old though :(

Enough of my ramblings what I want to ask is where can I get those dog guard tail gate things ?  I want to use the most of the space in the huge boot so instead of a cage I wanted to get a dog guard and then those gates at the back so I can leave the boot open at shows etc.

Well, to cheer you up I'm exactly 11 days older than you!!  I turned 27 on 11th November and yes, I think old age is creeping up on me too!!

I seem to be turning into a total lightweight whereas in my younger days I swear I could drink like a fish and whats more my hangover's are getting worse too!!!

I totally sympathise - us oldies have got to stick together!!!  :-)

I have hated my 20's and am looking forward to being 30something. Besides, my cousin died at 16 last August, so who am I to complain about being 30. At least I made it this far. Becky and my family would give anything for her to get to 30.

LMAO @ Claire. Must be something about 27. I turned 27 and bought an estate car this year!!!!! (had an escort Si with spoiler on the back!!!!!!!!!!)  And feeling the same way as you. Feel old!!!! never wanted a family estate car, but my old girl couldnt get into the back of my hatchback :(

i turned 27 in august and i feel like i am getting old aswell so i sympathise. i never used to get hangovers and now it takes me a while to get over a heavy night!!! i read once that we are still growing and maturing physically until we are 25 and after that it is downhill decline to old age so we are well on the downhill run now girl!!

Well, I have a sister-in-law who will be 97 on the 30th of this month. She still lives in her own home and has only recently accepted any help in the house. Her mind is razor sharp and she has the most beautiful hand-writing. I think she could reasonably be considered to be old - but 27 - rofl!!!!!

Well I am  early  50  so better dig a hole and jump in LOL  :)

I remember watching a tv programe (you young things wont remember) but Dora Bryan was in it the presenter said are you glad to be here? she said Darling at my age I am glad to be anywhere .:)

27, old, nah - its when you get to 30 then you think OMG!!!! mind you at 44 I'm over that now - have a merc estate, and we've looked at a volvo estate this weekend for hubby so that we can both have dog friendly cars!!!!!

LOLOL as I get older my cars get faster starting off with the good ole Mini Traveller complete with woodwok & worked my way up to an Impreza 5 door 0-60 in 6 secs lololol

I wouldn't recognise an 18 yr old if you slapped me in the face with one, they all look sooo young these days, and as for policemen (always had a thing about a man in uniform) one stopped me the other day and I felt like I was being lectured by a primary school boy

I realised I was getting old when one of my partner's students turned out to be a boy I had baby sat for when I was in my teens.  I have never felt much older than twenty although I certainly look it!!  Twenty seven is a great age to be so just enjoy it, time goes far too quickly to worry about it and you'll find you're thirty seven before you know it!!! I am so sorry the Subaru fell through I will never own any other car & don't intend ever changing this one.I know sad isn't it I cried when I sold the other one ! but cheered up when I picked up my current one as it was blazing hot & this one has AC ;) & I love it's "frog eyes"headlights !!!
