We are buying an eight week old puppy on wednesday, which is fully KC registered with 6 weeks insurance. I would like to find out what paperwork i need to get from the owner before handing over any money

You will need your pups registration documents, signed by the breeder ready to send off to the KC to transfer ownership OR if they are not available, a signed statement saying the papers are to follow. Also you should be given a pedigree, 3 generation or more, a diet sheet, maybe some info on house training and a sample of the food that the breeder has been feeding the pup on. Think that is all, some breeders add more, like photos, a small toy, piece of mum/litter-smelling bedding etc but not all will do that.
