Hi,
I have been reading the hunting threads with some interest and it appears to me that certain posts read as an attack, maby not intentionally, but still they cause offence.
CHLOEH, if i were you i would try to rephrase my posts, you appear to me and others i know who read this forum to blatently get peoples backs up. You ruin very good threads and they are consequently locked due to your either terrible attitude or inability to post a smiley face.
Maby you should read your posts through thuroughtly before clicking send. It is quite offputting when people intending to join see how abrasive you can be. Same goes for JOHN actually.......

Its not the first and it won't be the last.
I still haven't gotten over being accused of making up fairytales about having a public footpath through the house! :D :D

We used to have a right of way going through a house we rented in central London! At any time somebody had to be available to let people in one door to traipse through the hall and out of another. So you have my sympathy!

We have 3 across the land here. One goes through an old alley way that someone built an extension on for the house

We are not allowed to let the dogs bark or threaten anyone who wishes to walk through. That said, most ramblers are very considerate and use one of the other pathways :)

Sorry Guest. If you would like to write my posts for me that would save me the trouble.
Censorship by the anonymous! I'm afraid you know exactly what you can do.

A self confessed lurker doesn't sound like a stalker? Maybe it is someone who felt something needed to be said? Either way I don't think ridiculing the post enhances anybody's character or proves the poster wrong. :(

Spook. If someone has a point to make about my posts then perhaps they could send me or admin a PM if they are registered?
Secondly, I have posts like this and I also have posts that are in a direct contrast.
Hunting is an emotive subject and I am allowed to get as worked up as anyone else regarding it.

I have no respect for someone who won't post their name Spook :)
I know ChloeH and know how strongly her views are held. I also know that she will debate until the cows come home with anyone who debates in a reasonable manner :) I also know that there are a lot of people on this forum who have vitriolic tongues and the poster could have picked up on someone other than Chloe very easily ;) The poster is hiding behind anonymity unlike our posters.

Exactly the same goes for you Spook. If you want to write my posts for me then go ahead. I put a lot of thought into my posts and the thoughts I express are MY thoughts. You may not agree with them, that is your privilege but they are MY thoughts. If you would like me to post yours or the Guest's thoughts, Tough! I cannot do that. And if you want me to change my style, again tough, they would then not be my posts.
This is a public forum: people have the right to express opinions just like others have the right to disagree. Debates are to be expected. I find a general rule to follow is to speak to others how you would expect to be spoken to yourself! However Guest (and this includes our other lurking friend), if you have not the conviction to stand by your comments and opinions by registering and putting a name to said comments, then I find it hard to take on board what you say. As a registered user, if there's something I don't agree with, I will voice my opinion or chose either not to read a thread or not to get involved. If something I read offends me, I have the option to report it to Admin and leave it to their best judgement.

I've no desire to write you're posts John. I just despair at the hostility at the moment. I'm unaware of any personal vendettas. Manners don't cost much nor does alittle sensitivity.

I've noticed enough hostility in YOUR posts spook! But very little help to people. And the day I need you to teach me manners I'll tell you.
Here endeth my posts on this attempt at censorship.

Trust me...you need me...:D :D

Spook, I do agree with you about the amount of hostility shown to guests and other forum members alike but is often the same people who make those posts each and every time

I completely agree with you Melodysk.

Whoooosh
;)
Spook posting as a Guest hardly helps their cause or credibility. To me they sound like a troublemaker....

Yup Liberty I was just discussing that on the other Lurker thread. I've nothing against using Guest facility but I don't want to waste my time posting if people aren't genuine.

I think we all feel like that, Spook. Unfortunately very many of the 'Guests' aren't genuine, and are merely abusing the facility.
I wish guest had of posted under his/her real name, but we all know what would have happened if they did, admin would have come down like a tonn of bricks and most likely re-posted the huge list of rules that goes along with this site :( Having said this i really dont see the point of having a guest or visitors forum,it is quite obvious that it causes more trouble than it's worth,it only takes a couple minutes to register and if they are truly genuine then they will register,i honestly dont see the point of it.Surely there are enough members registered here??
Well John...... you managed to prove guest right! :D
Ozzie is it such a problem reminding Guests of the rules? As you have such strong views perhaps Admin would be interested in your application to Mod the board??

Its not you that worries me :D :D
Two prime examples above, unhelpful sarcastic remarks and sleazy backdoor comments, unless ofcourse liberty your post was meant to be helpful??? I think you missed my point re: the rules anyway!
