i have just been to view some puppies with the intent to buy. stud has full heath certs is a champ too. mum lovely but 3 pups died. 3 left vet says no real reason for their deaths though. 1 died at birth others died later. would you say it ok to buy puppy????

Sadlu, it is not ususual to lose 50% of a litter.  It really depends on why.  Providing you have seen pups wiht Mum, she is in good condition, the pups are kept in suitable accomodation and well cared for, and that all health certs. for both parents are available, then there should not be a problem.  Pups can die early on due to many factors, not developed properly, bord too soon, problems in the birth canal, in experienced mum, inexperienced owner (dehydration etc)  Hope this helps
