Can anyone help ??

I went out the other weekend and drunk a couple of bottles of the red stuff, I then had to sit on a mini bus round country lanes for an hour to get home ........ I dont think I need to describe the end result :(

Anyway, I managed to spray the end result all over my long beige suede boots and im too scared to try to get it out in case I make it worse, does anyone have any ideas on what I could try to get it out ??

Thanks in advance

A very sheepish Claire ;)

Ahhhh the old red wine - after many years and far to many embarassing stories later I finally figured out that red wine and I just don't mix well together (my main problem being one glass is never enough, whoops there goes the whole bottle)!!!

I remember that covering the area with salt used to work but I think that has to be on a spillage as soon as its happened.

Try nipping into your local dry cleaners - mine is really good, they should be able to give you a couple of ideas.

Good luck!!

I was going to suggest for future outings to change your beverage to a nice little white wine. Then remembered,it returns the same shade of red ;) Sorry no help, but try dabbing a little white wine onto a small patch. My daughter says this works, and she should know S)

I was going to suggest the white wine trick too-but then thought that your boots are going to stink of booze! :D  I have managed to get all manner of stains out of my beige suede boots with a suede shampoo/stain remover and a special brush-have a look in any shoe stores, they sell similar things!  Good luck :)

Claire

Sorry but this made me giggle :D. I have heard so many stories of accidents involving red wine  Luckily it has never happened to me :)

My husband says chuck them in the bin and go and buy another pair ;)

So are you ever going to touch another drop ?

Oh dear oh dear... you are young, but you will learn :D

never, ever get so drunk on red wine that you upchuck all over your boots. Its a waste of wine.

Hi
Feeling gutted for the loss of your boots :(  .....I put a search into Google with the hope of them possibly being ressurected ? ;)
These were all the suggestions I could find for suede fabrics:
1. Rub corn meal into the stain, let is absorb then brush out with a suede brush.
2. Rub stain gently with isopropyl alcohol
3. Dab stains with white vinegar.
4. 'Astonish Stain Remover Stick' (this was raved about so much, I'm considering buying it myself !)
...and if it doesn't work.....there's always Santa !! (But you have to start being a good girl Claire :D  )
