Topic Other Boards / Foo / Why did I bother ?

I was sitting on the park and ride bus on my way home from work tonight and there was a woman with a very young sleeping baby in a pushchair with a blanket covering it's face. She had her nose deeply engrossed in TV quick magazine. I called over and said did she know the baby's face was covered.

She replied ' What? That is my husband there ( sitting opposite) and he can see that everything is ok' looked at the baby, moved the blanket and then gave me such a snotty stare and carried in reading the mag. I ask myself why did I bother ?

How old was the baby???? I know at about a year old my sons would do that, but if anyone said that I would say 'oh thankyou' and move the blanket. before a year old, I considered it as dangerous. And if they did that at night before a year old I would dread lifting the blanket in the morning :(

This is why my babies always wear gro bags when sleeping where I cannot watch them, I just can't take the worry! :)

Sorry very young would say 0-3 months
I would say thankyou and grovel to say thaniks if it was one of mine!!!!!! And would NEVER rely on a man to watch a babe before 6 months (probably bad experiences but knowiung the men I have come across  are not as concientious as women!!!!!!!!!)

The baby must have been only a few months old. She was more interested in the magazine. The husband just looked at me with a very blank look.It really makes me wonder sometimes ! We get so angry on here when we see idiots and the way they treat dogs. You can't buy babies, so anybody can in theory be parents. ( no offense meant to all that can't have babies as I know from the receny thread how it affects people :) )

None taken! :) It gets me very cross when people who are lucky enough to have them don't look after them properly. Makes me want to rescue them ...

LJs there are some people who can have kids and love them more than alot of people can know.
There are some people that can have kids and couldnt care less (see last point) And there are some people, sensibly that fdont want children so dont.
And there are people that have kids and couldnt care lesss what happens to them :( :( And they are the ones I despise.
