Hello folks, i have a stunning 9 week old pug boy who i would like to show eventually.Do you please have any tips to teach baby to stand etc, i have already been checking his mouth and handling his body all over, he thinks its hilarious and bounds around. I know i should not over do it with him yet , so whats the best way to gradually teach him to stand still?

At that age, in very short sessions, making it fun.  I wouldnt try floor work yet, just get him confident on the table.  Gradually build up to several sessions ( still very short) several times per day, with lots of praise and fun.  Tidbits are usually the way to a Pugs heart ( or good behaviou bribe)
bye

Gwen, tidbits work with most breeds :D

Like gwen said, keep everything short and sweet and fun, you want him standing no longer then afew seconds at the moment, as soon as he can go out go to a ringcraft near you if possible, try and find one ASAP and I advise you go without the dog first to see if you like it, at your ringcraft we will always inviet people without there dog just to watch if the phone up, one couple came for about 3 weeks before they even picked their puppy up  that way you can see if the club is friendly, what the trainer(s) are like and if you get on with them!
