At 12 weeks the pup will probably be mouthing alot. They naturally investigate things with their mouths, plus as the pup will be teething chewing will be a nessecary evil. You have to say 'OW!' very loudly everytime the pup acts this way and make a point of standing firm, nose in the air, ignoring her completely so she knows that behaviour won't be tolerated. Puppy teeth can be like needles, very sharp. I doubt at 12 weeks she is biting in an aggressive way. Make sure she has plenty of safe chewable toys.

Not many dogs acutally understand the word 'no' - most simply learn that whatever they were doing made their owners angry or started them behaving in an unpredictable way.......
IMHO it's far better to remove yourslef by simply walking away, then to give the puppy more attention by picking it up and then ignoring it - so much happens between the action you dislike (puppy mouthing) and being ignored that the pup can't make any connection :(
