If you are thinking about getting a puppy its not the exercise that is an issue as they need relatively little(approx 5 mins for every month of life eg a 4 month old pup would want 4 x 5 mins = 20 mins)
The problem is in training and companionship. How can you expect to house train a pup when your not there? Its also unfair to expect to take a pup away from its family and expect it to be happy being left alone

in a word NO :)
Vizslas are one of the most demanding of company breeds going they are known for there affection and need for human company although they do require exerxise social stimulation is far mor important especially in a growing puppy.
Most vizsla breeders will not sell a puppy to some one who works full time. :)

we have a Vizsla and we both work, we go for a walk for about an hour in a morning before going to work.so that she is tired. we did take a lot of time off when we first got her and did lots of half days so that she was never alone for long..and then very gradually increased it..and she has been fine..she seems to know the drill and if we are at home through the day is very grumpy as she misses out on sleeping on the sofa! occasionally she is left all day..usually we go home at lunch or I go home early as I have some flexibility on hours. it is definitely about companionship tho..she does come absolutely everywhere with us. Vizlas love to be part of the family, more so than other dogs I think, and they seem to think they are human. someone once called their Vizsla a velcro dog..and that does suit!! she is a HUGE part of our lives, and I truely believe is a very happy little dog! she is the best thing we have ever done.
It's worth also considering how you would cope with working full time and then coming home to a puppy...as a first timer (not sure if you are too - dont want to be patronising ) I have found it very hard at times and there have been tears...especially at what should have been bedtime but was not cos pup wants to play/is throwing up/is barking etc!! We are able to give our boy plenty of attention as I work shifts so there is one of us at home all day but of course that means we are always working or being with him..very tiring although totally worthwhile of course :) I don't think I really understood the implications of getting a dog until it was too late to plan properly. Of course you are wiser than I as you are asking questions beforehand..I just became a frequent visitor to CD in the 1st 3 weeks when I had bags under my eyes and no hair cos I pulled it all out. Can't remember the last time I was able to come home after work and flop on the sofa with a large glass of wine or six!! Having said that I wouldn't give him back for anything..but I am particularly determined!!
