I have this installed but now it keeps saying 'timed out'. Does this mean if i wish to continue i have to subscribe. MS help suggests I download a free virus check, any suggestions.

edited to say....It will still scan, just cant update it any more.

I use AVG, it's brilliant and it's free with free updates.

By the way, anyone else using AVG, there's a new edition out (see link).  Support/updates wont be available for the old version after Dec 31st.
